- Youth Spiritual Summit in Varanasi: On July 19, 2025, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated the ‘Youth Spiritual Summit’ in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The summit, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS), focused on the theme “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” (Drug-Free Youth for a Developed India). The event concluded with the adoption of the Kashi Declaration, a five-year strategic roadmap to combat drug addiction, which includes the formation of a Joint National Committee (JNC) and the launch of a digital platform for support services.
- Automotive Mission Plan 2047 (AMP 2047): The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has initiated the development of a comprehensive strategy called the Automotive Mission Plan 2047 to establish India as a global leader in the automotive sector. This plan aims to have the automotive industry contribute over 12% to India’s GDP and create an estimated 65 million new jobs by 2047.
- India’s Largest Green Hydrogen Plant: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced it will establish India’s largest green hydrogen plant at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)’s Panipat Refinery in Haryana. The plant, scheduled for commissioning by December 2027, will operate under a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model and supply 10,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually to IOCL.

- World Bank’s Global Findex Report 2025: According to the World Bank’s latest Global Findex Report, financial account ownership in India has risen to 89% in 2024, a sharp increase from 35% in 2011. - ADB Loan for Tripura: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has granted a loan of Rs. 975.26 crores (USD 85.4 million) to Tripura for infrastructure development in nine industrial areas. The project, overseen by the Tripura Industrial Development Corporation (TIDC), aims to boost the state’s manufacturing sector.
- NSDL Payments Bank Gains Scheduled Bank Status: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has included NSDL Payments Bank Limited in Schedule II of the RBI Act, 1934, granting it Scheduled Bank (SB) status.
