2. PM Narendra Modi’s Visit to Uttarakhand (Silver Jubilee Celebrations)

On November 9, 2025, PM Modi attended Uttarakhand's Silver Jubilee (25th) Foundation Day at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) in Dehradun.

Uttarakhand was officially carved out of Uttar Pradesh on November 9, 2000.

7. Tamil Nadu to Launch India’s First ‘Women’s Wellness on Wheels’

The Government of Tamil Nadu announced a landmark ₹41 crore healthcare delivery system called "Women’s Wellness on Wheels" (WWW).

• The Mission: Operating 38 specialized mobile medical vans across all 38 districts to provide free, localized breast and cervical cancer screenings for women in rural and semi-urban pockets.
• Free HPV Vaccination: Allocation of ₹36 crore to administer free Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines to schoolgirls aged 14 and below to prevent cervical cancer.

9. Bangladesh Joins UN Water Convention

Bangladesh has officially acceded to the United Nations Water Convention (historically known as the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes).

• Global Standing: Bangladesh is the 1st South Asian country and the 56th nation globally to sign this treaty.
• What is it? It is a legally binding international architecture designed to promote the sustainable management of shared transboundary water basins and foster regional diplomatic peace. It opened to all non-European UN member states in 2016.

10. India & Saudi Arabia Finalize Bilateral Haj Agreement 2026
