India Signs USD 629 Million BrahMos Missile Export Deal with Vietnam to Strengthen Defence Cooperation

Other Deal: Negotiations between India and Indonesia for the acquisition of BrahMos are in the final stages, with Indonesia having finalized plans in March 2026 to procure one battery for coastal defence.

Union MoS (IC) Dr. Jitendra Singh, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions (MoPPG&P), launched the 1st-of-its-kind initiative 'Samadhan Didi', an AI-enabled voice chatbot for the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS), at Kartavya Bhawan, New Delhi, Delhi.
Developed By: DARPG, MoPP&P, in partnership with BHASHINI.
Multi-lingual Chatbot: Supports all 22 Indian languages recognised under the 8th Schedule of the Constitution and other regional and indigenous languages (Bhojpuri, Garo, Khasi, Mizo, and Bodhi).
Key Role of BHASHINI: Combines BHASHINI's language capabilities with grievance-classification models on CPGRAMS data.
Automatic Categorisation: Citizens register complaints by speaking in their own language; AI understands the issue, asks follow-up questions, and automatically identifies the appropriate Ministry, Department, category, sub-category, and files the grievance with the correct authority.
Union Minister Manohar Lal Launches 'Swachh Mobile App' in West Bengal
Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, MoHUA, launched 'Swachh App', a geo-tagged mobile app for cleanliness in municipal areas, in Kolkata, West Bengal (WB), in the presence of CM Suvendu Adhikari.
Purpose: Enables citizens to upload photos of issues such as stagnant water, garbage, or drainage problems and send them to the municipality for action.
Implementation — Initial Phase: Launched for 10 municipalities — Asansol, Durgapur, Baidyabati, Basirhat, Contai, Nalhati, Krishnanagar, Madhyamgram, Tufangunge, and Pujali. Plans to expand to 120 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).

ArcelorMittal Nippon Secures NSC Approval for SIP for Visakhapatnam ITI Cluster Under PM-SETU
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) along with academic partner New Age Makers Institute of Technology (NAMTECH) secured the National Steering Committee (NSC) approval for ₹200.21 crore Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) for the Visakhapatnam Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Cluster in Andhra Pradesh (AP).
This marks the first-ever SIP approval granted under the Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU) scheme.
3rd NSC Meeting: Chaired by Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary of MSDE, at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi.
Significance: AP becomes the 1st state to onboard an Anchor Industry Partner (AIP) under PM-SETU. The proposed Visakhapatnam cluster is expected to serve as a national model.

Awarded the Padma Bhushan (India's 3rd highest civilian honour) in January 2023 in the field of 'Arts'.
Musical Legacy: One of India's most celebrated playback singers, renowned for her melodious voice and contributions to Hindi, Marathi, and several regional film industries.
Career: Began playback singing in 1954 with films such as Shukrachi Chandini and Mangu. Rose to prominence during the 1950s and 1960s; gained widespread recognition for soulful songs and memorable duets with legendary singer Mohammed Rafi.
