Educational Qualifications for Director:
- Direct Recruitment:
- Graduate in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or related fields with 10 years of relevant experience.
- OR Master’s/Post Graduate Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance/Aerospace or related fields.
- OR 10 years of flying experience in the Indian Air Force/aviation sectors.
- OR Current Airline Transport Pilot’s License with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Desirable: Higher qualifications, instructional experience, and managerial experience in a training institute.
- Deputation:
- Age Limit: Up to 57 years.
- Eligibility: Officers of the Indian Air Force (Group Captain or higher) or officers from Central/State Governments/Public Sector with relevant qualifications and experience.
General Requirements
- Tenure: Initial term of 3 years, extendable up to 5 years.
- Disqualification: Individuals who have remarried while having a living spouse are not eligible unless exempted by the Central Government.
- Pay Scale: Pay Level -14 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, plus flying and other allowances as per academy rules.
