 Prime Minister Modi Welcomes Newborn Calf ‘Deepjyoti’ to His Residence


At his official residence on Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an endearing gesture by introducing a newborn calf named “Deepjyoti.” PM Modi disclosed that the name “Deepjyoti” was inspired by the calf, which bore a distinctive light-like imprint on its forehead and is translated as “light of the lamp,” in a video posted on X.

The Indian government has implemented a substantial policy change by eliminating the $950 per tonne minimum export price (MEP) for basmati rice.
