PM Modi Announces the Launch of Namo Bharat Rapid Rail and New Vande Bharat Trains
On September 16, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail in India, which will operate between Ahmedabad and Bhuj. This new train, which is referred to as the Vande Metro, travels a 360-kilometer distance in 5 hours and 45 minutes, stopping at nine stations along the way.
