PM Modi Launches ₹9,700 Crore Development Projects on Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas programme in Dediapada, Narmada district, Gujarat, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of revered tribal leader and freedom fighter Bhagwan Birsa Munda. During his visit, the PM inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for multiple development projects worth over ₹9,700 crore.

Government’s E-Jagriti Portal Resolves Over 1.27 Lakh Consumer Cases

The Department of Consumer Affairs' (DoCA) unified digital platform, e-Jagriti (E-Justice And Grievance Redressal through Information Technology and Innovation), has crossed 2.75 lakh registered users. Since its launch on January 1, 2025, the platform has actively processed 1,30,550 consumer complaints nationwide, resolving more than 1.27 lakh cases.

  • Integrated Architecture: e-Jagriti acts as a single window by blending multiple consumer grievance systems, including the Online Case Monitoring System (OCMS), E-Daakhil, the National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission (NCDRC), and the CONFONET network.
  • Inclusive Features: The site provides real-time case tracking, end-to-end encryption, a multilingual interface, chatbot assistance, and voice-to-text tools for visually impaired and elderly citizens.
  • NRI Access: An advanced OTP-based registration system allows Non-Resident Indians to file cases, execute digital payments, and attend virtual hearings from abroad. Out of 1,388 registered NRIs, the highest complaint volumes originated from the USA (146), the UK (52), and the UAE (47).
  • Top Adopting States: Gujarat leads national adoption with 14,758 logged cases, followed closely by Uttar Pradesh (14,050 cases) and Maharashtra (12,484 cases).

Central Government Approves ₹7,172 Crore Investment Under ECMS Tranche II

Union MeitY Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the approval of 17 new manufacturing projects under the second tranche of the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS). This milestone was unveiled during the India Cellular Electronics Association (ICEA) forum in New Delhi.
