The Reserve Bank of India cancelled the Certificate of Registration of 36 Non-Banking Financial Companies in March 2026.

RBI Authorises CRED to Operate as Payment Aggregator
The Reserve Bank of India granted authorisation to CRED, operated by Dreamplug Technologies Private Limited, to operate as a Payment Aggregator.
The approval was granted under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007.

Nomura Lowers India GDP Forecast to 7% in FY27
Japanese brokerage firm Nomura Holdings Inc. lowered India’s GDP growth forecast for FY27 to 7%, down from its earlier projection of 7.1%.
Reason for Revision:
The downward revision is mainly due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia, which poses risks to energy supplies and inflation.
